Aggravated DUI Penalties explanation video
Hi. I’m Scott Maasen with the Maasen Law Firm. Today, I want to talk to you about aggravated DUI or felony DUI penalties in Arizona.
There are three types of aggravated DUI. It’s your third DUI within seven years, you get a DUI with a bad license or you have children in the car under the age of 15. Now, with respect to the first two, the penalties are really serious. Number one, it’s a felony. A felony can permanently be on your record forever. There can be probation. There also can be a prison term. In Arizona if the case isn’t reduced or negotiated down or dismissed, the minimum present term is four months in prison up to 3.75 years in prison. It’s very, very serious.
There are a number of things you need to do to understand when you are … what to do to deal with an aggravated DUI charge or what your options are. You really need to talk with somebody that is experienced in these types of cases that has a successful track record in handling these cases and to know what your options are. You get a good result.
We do that at the Maasen Law Firm. I’m happy to talk with you anytime. We offer free consultation to go over what your rights are and help you understand those penalties in more detail. Again they don’t ultimately I hope apply to you when we handle your case.
